I'm a bit jealous at how clean and symmetrical your work is.

How are you going to keep the copper/brass from tarnishing?

I imagine that this piece is going to look quite different in a few months when the metals oxidize. Not that it will look bad, just different.

I am still trying to decide if I am going to coat it with a clear varnish or allow it to oxidize. "Inner Workings" was allowed to tarnished over the last 4 years and it really changed the look and feel of the whole piece. I am fond of the tarnished as you wear it or over time, but I'm leaning towards retaining the polish on this particular piece at the moment.

Have you considered oxidizing it for certain colors? I know that some chemical solutions will turn copper black or green or greenish-blue or even a bright blue which can then be sealed with a clear varnish.

Just something to think about. :)
