Artist's Comments

I have three other completed pendants in this series of studies I did. This is number 6 and the last. If you are confused by the number, number 3 and 4 were damaged where I could not finish them, number 5 was never completed, andf I had already had all 6 in the works. So instead of renumbering them, I kept them. The form is an evolution of my very first pendant Bound Frustration, and is produced out of the same materials. The "bullet shaped" core of the pendant is smithed out of two sheets of heavy gauge brass into a hollow shell which I then acid etched the vine design. I constructed the bale out of smithed copper sheet, copper and brass tubing. The chain that I plan to use will attach directly to the the pendant by the two brass loops at the top and will terminated with a magnetic clasp in the back.

Love the contrast between the somewhat aggressive bullet shape and the soft organic carving all over it.

Love the carvings. I love to use vine-like shapes in my work.

This is excellent - you have some great ideas and skill in your gallery.
